Manga Studio sketch
playing around in Manga Studio. I'm very impressed with it overall. The feel of the pen is probably the best I've seen this side of Photoshop.

Digital Line Art
This is the digital line art for the Scott Sullivan image posted previously. He has a very interesting face that I would like to draw again and again.

More ISCA Convention art
This is Tasir a very good painter that I met last year and decided to draw this year at the convention. I really enjoyed this one!

Flintstones meet the ISCA
This is a fun piece that I put on my section of wall at the ISCA Convention this week. The "Dino" in the drawing is Loren Bernsen, the (as of today) former president of the ISCA.

2013 ISCA Annual Caricature Convention
Please click on the image to get a higher resolution version. This is a caricature of Scott Sullivan I created at the ISCA annual convention which was held once again in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. This was the first year I created all my drawings digitally. It was a great convention with two wonderful guest speakers and plenty of other cool seminars. The best thing about the Con is the friendships you make and continue to build on at future Cons.

Wedding caricature
A caricature from a recent wedding reception. The atmosphere at weddings is so great and the positive feedback you get makes four hours seem like an hour. The bride also caught me as I was packing up and remarked that I was a "hit" and was very prompt in my email replys which made her planning that much easier.

The old homestead
Facebook told me this image was too large to upload. I'm glad I was able to upload it here. This is a pencil drawing I did for my cousin of her family's homestead. She liked it, I'm happy! Her only complaint was that the bushes were never kept that neat lol!

Live caricature
Here's one from a recent gig. You can't see it in the photo because of the tilt of her head but she was wearing a sailor's cap and there were a thousand small pins on it.

The unique-ness of humanity
I just received this great little gem of a sketchbook "No Whip" by Brett Bean. *Cheap!* Like Stephen Silver and many others, Brett celebrates the unique-ness of human-kind.

AAAAAARRRRRGGHH!!!!!!!
I'm not even sure this is worth posting but... OK, I'm quite sure it's NOT worth posting! It's "national talk like a pirate day" so here is an extremely quickly whipped up cartoony pirate.

Sketchbook Pro (free version)
Playing around in Sketchbook Pro (free version) with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tab. I like this style and would like to try and develop it to be more detailed.

Indian Tattoo
A friend of mine wanted a drawing of an indian that would eventually be a tattoo. Obviously the pic at the top is my pencil drawing. There is some detail lost in translation but it turned out pretty well. To do the drawing I searched for an indian face online and the one I liked didn't have a headdress so I had to do a search for that also. Long story short, I combined the face and headdress into one drawing.

LetterGraphics Founder
This is a recent commission of a man that founded a local sign company in my area. I received the phone call a few weeks ago from the guy that took over the business and he wanted to give a thoughtful gift to the retiring founder. He told me the founder's name on the phone and I didn't think much about it till I received the photos - he was my school teacher when I was in the third grade over 3 decades ago! I enjoy working in pencil more than anything.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 sketch
A quick sketch using the android store "Infinite Painter" free app. This app works good and the palm rejection works better than most apps I've tried. The app is free so it's certainly not perfect but very nice for a free app!

Wedding Caricatures
A sample from a recent wedding reception. All the guests were super nice and so appreciative of their drawings.

Morgan Freeman
A pencil of Morgan Freeman I drew for the "Traditional Caricature Art Contest" on Facebook. Some people have faces that lend their selves to caricature - his is one of them :-)

Wedding Caricatures
This is a pic from last weekend when I drew caricatures for a wedding reception. Weddings are some of the funnest events that I draw at and everyone loved their drawings.

Business Card profile
Just a quick line drawing that will be printed on a business card. The client requested it to be "simple and not exaggerated". I love doing these.

Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson - pencil for the "Traditional Caricature Art Contest" on Facebook. You could draw this guy a hundred times and get a hundred totally different versions of him.

Maisie Williams pencil
Maisie Williams final pencil. She is from the Game of Thrones series which I just heard of lately (I know, I must live in a bubble).

Maisie Williams
A Maisie Williams pencil sketch. She has a unique face. I haven't sketched with pencil for a long time and I forgot how good it feels and how much I love it!

City Square Steakhouse table cover sketch
Some restaurants use plain white paper to cover their tables. I happen to think that idea is brilliant - along with a ball point pen of course. I can't help myself from doodling something! The manager came over and commented on it and said he would probably hang it up in the back of the restaurant with other sketches. :)

Beach guy
A very quick sketch off the top of my head. I sketch from memory a lot which is fun but my sketches are almost always better (although not as spontaneous) when I use reference material such as a photo.

Wedding Signing Board (from client)
