When I was a kid "memory sketches" for the most part were the only kind of drawings I did.  I had the regular structure of art class in school but I really wish I could have begun channeling and developing my skills in a structured way at an earlier age.  Oh well, I have a blast now with a pencil or pen or whatever is close by when I get the itch!

The finished drawing that is a Mother's Day gift.  This is one of my favorites to date.  In the reference photos supplied by the client the kids look so happy and full of life and I tried not to lose that expression when translating it on paper.

commander in chief sketch

A little sketch I did last night of our commander in chief.  I love drawing his face.  It screams out to me: come and exaggerate as you wish!
